L'oriental Restaurant

If you're in West London and craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors, L'oriental Restaurant might just be your new go-to spot. Tucked away on 94 Churchfield Road, London W3 6DH, this unpretentious gem knows how to serve up big flavors in a cozy, relaxed setting. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite solo or sitting down for a hearty dinner with friends, L’oriental makes you feel like you’ve found a second home.

Let’s start with what really matters - the food. L'oriental Restaurant is known for its fresh, homemade Middle Eastern dishes, with generous portions and affordable prices. The Hummus here? Creamy, nutty, and silky smooth - perfect for scooping with warm, pillowy flatbread. But don’t stop there. Their Moutabal (a smoky eggplant dip), often served as a starter with pickles and warm bread, is another crowd-pleaser.

If you're someone who starts your meal with a soup, you're in for a treat. The Lentil Soup is a favorite among regulars - simple, nourishing, and just the right amount of spice to warm you up. Looking for something heartier? The Oxtail dish is rich and fall-off-the-bone tender. It’s one of those plates that reminds you of home-cooked comfort food, even if you’ve never had it before.

Vegetarians and vegans aren’t left out either. The Falafel Wrap, paired with pickled veggies and tahini, is a solid option for a quick, satisfying bite. Their Salad Bar offers refreshing options, and they’re known for healthy choices across the menu. You'll also find vegan and vegetarian dishes clearly labeled, which is a big plus if you're plant-based or trying to eat a little lighter.

Now, let’s talk vibe. One of the things that sets L'oriental Restaurant apart is its accessibility - wheelchair-friendly seating is available, which makes it inclusive and welcoming for everyone. There’s also outdoor seating, perfect for those warmer London days when you want to enjoy a meal in the fresh air. Whether you're popping in for lunch, meeting someone for dinner, or just grabbing some takeaway, you’ve got plenty of options.

Speaking of options, they’ve got quite the drink selection too. You’ll find beer, wine, halal offerings, and even a great tea selection that locals rave about. So if you’re more of a tea-over-wine kind of diner, you’re still in luck. Coffee drinkers are covered, too - another reason this spot works whether it’s an afternoon pick-me-up or a late-night bite you’re after.

The ambience is relaxed and unpretentious, with a touch of warmth that comes not just from the food, but from the friendly service. You’ll often see solo diners here, laptops out, enjoying a quiet moment over a hot bowl of soup. But come dinner time, it’s a lively mix of locals, families, and friends catching up over shared plates.

If you're someone who likes to explore lesser-known spots in the city with authentic flavors, L’oriental is the kind of place you want to tell your foodie friends about - or maybe keep as your own little secret. It’s not just the Middle Eastern cuisine that keeps people coming back. It’s the consistency, the hospitality, and the feeling that you’re not just a customer, but a guest.

Among other highlights? Their Sambousek Cheese - think crispy pastry stuffed with melted cheese - is addictive. They've also got a few lesser-known dishes on the menu for those who like to venture off the beaten culinary path, including Суп С Баранины (lamb soup) and Куриный Суп (chicken soup), offering a delicious Eastern European twist to their otherwise Mediterranean core.

No frills, no gimmicks - just really solid food made with care. And in a city like London, that’s not always easy to find. Whether you're after a quick bite, a satisfying wrap, or a laid-back dinner with good company and better tea, L'oriental Restaurant delivers on all fronts.

Just had my lunch of chicken rice and salad. It was amazing and melted in my mouth. Everything was fresh and so nice. The place is shutting down in four months 10/10 The best food I've ever eaten.

My family and I eat here every week. The food is great (halloumi wraps are excellent) and the owners are really friendly. I love the free pickles and carrot we get before the meal.

Lovely local eateries which offers eat in and take away options. Visit today was my first for a while but it had been a great option in the early part of the first easing of lockdown in 2021. Decent middle Eastern foods with good options on the menu. Alcohol is available if you want it.

L'Oriental has been open in acton for a long time don't let the outside appearance fool you this place is great, and the staff are very nice too. There is a great selection of meals and snacks. I Really enjoyed the vegetarian selection, which I bought to take away. I wasn't expecting such a big portion, Every thing was delicious! My photo really doesn't do this food justice, next time I will put it on a plate.
